Synopsis
This case study documents the rapid business review of the manufacturing operations for a $280 million turnover engineering group. The group had grown quickly through acquisition funded by private equity was now facing failing its bank covenants if it could not secure a drastic reduction in EBITDA whilst maintaining its operations. The business review showed that $6.8 million could be saved immediately whilst restructuring manufacturing operations around customer locations gave faster time to market.

We were asked to review the programme management methodology for a large military contract that was at risk of incurring liquidated damages and late delivery penalties. The irony was that best practice project management existed within the programme but poor performance had got everyone in a spin, no one could see it.
